Facelift surgery (Rhytidoplasty, Rhytidectomy) is the procedure aimed at improving or reducing the signs of aging in the face and/or neck, striving for natural and conservative results. The incisions are made in the natural folds of the skin, in areas hidden by the hair, and behind the ears. The scars are barely visible and the procedure is usually combined with other rejuvenation procedures such as blepharoplasty and/or brow lift (forehead lift).
The objective of the procedure is to reposition the tissues and return them to the location they had when the patient was younger.. It requires a thorough evaluation of each part of the face to determine the necessary changes, aiming to achieve a result that does not alter the individual’s unique features.
This procedure is always preceded by tests for a comprehensive evaluation of the patient’s overall health and an assessment by an anesthesiologist.
