Liposuction / Liposculpture

Have the figure you’ve always desired with a safe and certified procedure.

Also known as liposculpture, it is a surgical technique used to remove fat deposits from specific areas of the body such as the abdomen, back, thighs, arms, face, etc., by introducing a cannula with incisions less than 1 cm. The technique is always performed in an operating room, under general or regional anesthesia.

Under certain circumstances, it may be assisted by ultrasound (VASER) or laser. This fat can be used to enhance other areas.

Anesthesia

The surgery is performed under general or regional anesthesia.

Duration

Outpatient procedure lasting 2 to 4 hours (depending on the areas to be treated).

Recovery

Recovery time is 7 days.

The recovery time is approximately 3 months, which is the time needed for the swelling to resolve. Remember that it is a body contouring procedure, not for weight loss, as there is a limit to the amount of fat that can be removed.

Postoperative Care for Liposuction

  • Take the prescribed medications (antibiotic and pain reliever) for 7 days. Do not stop them without the doctor’s authorization.
  • Wear the compression garment day and night during the first month, making necessary adjustments, and during the day in the second and third months.
  • Do not use hot gels, thermal bands, plaster therapy, or jeans during the first two months after surgery.
  • Do not wear tight underwear between the compression garment and the skin. (The panty can leave marks on the skin).
  • Do not wear the compression garment while it is damp.
  • Do not have sexual intercourse for three weeks.
