Surgery can be performed after six years of age when the ear has reached more than 80% of its size. Postoperative Care for Otoplasty (Ear Surgery)<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • Swelling can last from 10 to 15 days, and there may be some bruising or discoloration.
    Requires bandages for the first five days and then continuing with a chin strap for one month.<\/li>\n
  • Take the prescribed medications (antibiotic and pain reliever) as directed for 7 days.
    Do not stop them without authorization from the doctor.<\/li>\n
  • No sun exposure, use dark sunglasses.<\/li>\n
  • Apply cold packs locally for the next 48 hours.<\/li>\n
  • Sleep with the head slightly elevated.<\/li>\n
